On behalf of one of our international clients, YER is currently seeking an experienced HR Benefits/Payroll Specialist to support the HR team of their fast-growing U.S. headquarters located in Northern Atlanta.

Job description

As the HR Benefits/Payroll Specialist, under the direction of the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for processing payroll and overseeing all payroll exemptions and garnishments. You will be given the opportunity to manage invoicing reconciliations for carriers, administrators and vendors as well as to administer the open enrollment process each year including benefits plan participation. Furthermore, you will enroll employees in the company's benefits plan (including health, dental, life, disability and 401k) and process monthly bills to providers. In this key position for the company, you will work closely with Accounting by providing reports for year-end and liability reporting. Your success will mainly rely on your great accuracy, your organizational skills and your excellent ability to exercise independent judgments and decisions based on policy and procedures.

With headquarters in Germany, our client has a history of more than 150 years in gear and transmission technology and currently employs ~3,000 people globally. The company presence includes nine factories in the Black Forest region in Germany and four factories abroad (USA, Mexico and China). In the United States, the manufacturing and headquarters facility is located in Gainesville, GA with a current headcount of roughly 350 employees and there is another production site located in Virginia Beach, VA with around 250 people.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience and some exposure to manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of HRIS, benefits administration and payroll is required.
  • Strong knowledge of FSLA/labor laws.
  • Reporting and audit experience.
  • ADP or similar payroll experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office tools with a focus on Excel.
