On behalf of our client, a European company that manufactures and sells rolling papers and accessories, YER is seeking Business Development Manager to work remotely.

Job description

The ideal candidate has a strong commercial background in the paper or tobacco industry, great consultative skills; is self-motivated and shows a solid business development track record. He/she is committed to excel in this role, is energetic, hands-on, well-spoken and a relationship builder.

The Regional Sales Manager will enjoy a remote position, a base salary and very generous commission/bonus structure and will benefit from a role that leaves space for initiative. This position is ideal for someone that is interested in an entrepreneurial role and not looking for a corporate environment. The candidate will work from home and will travel within the USA and Canada, he/she will enjoy the flexibility of establishing the schedule and the travels.

Position Description:

  • The Business Development Manager will report to the Commercial Director in Spain and willproactively grow sales volumes and sales margins in collaboration with the existing distribution network and customers through regular visits, meetings, participation in trade events and other contacts.
  • Develop a yearly strategic and operational marketing action plan to maximize the volume of business.
  • Visit potential and existing customers to capture sales opportunities and analyze customers' needs.
  • Collaborate with the network, manage and lead contract negotiations.
  • Maintain effective reporting, sales and marketing budget control and record and report regularly on competitors' activity.

Our client is an innovative and well-established European company that manufactures and sells rolling papers and accessories in more than 100 markets. Based in Madrid, our client is looking to expand its operations in North America and is hiring a Regional Sales Manager.

Agreements

Our client offers an excellent base salary and commissions. Benefits: health care paid 100% by employer for the employee, car allowance, laptop, cell phone.

Candidate profile

  • Experience in the paper or tobacco industry a must
  • Proven and quantifiable sales experience in the industry a must
  • Knowledge of distributions channels at a federal and local level, wholesalers and the retail channel and chains for consumer products.
  • Ability to build business relationships and develop new opportunities
  • Prior experience establishing KPI's and business development plans
  • Hands-on, works independently and communicates well with HQ
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to persuade, influence, negotiate.
  • Knowledge of Spanish a plus but not required
