Job description

As a Territory Account Manager, you will be responsible for an assigned territory in which you will use your technical foundation and sales experience to both manage and develop the existing +1M account portfolio, as well as identify and develop new business growth opportunities. Your knowledge of Power Utilities and Railroad companies together with your mechanical hands-on skills and practical understanding of electrical connectors, crimping &cutting tools, will enable you to develop lasting relationships with current and new customers, contributing to the long-term expansion of our client's market share. Your passion for developing strong customer relationships paired with great problem-solving skills will be supported by a team of industry professionals. As the new member of a team of seven sales people across the United States, you will join a highly self-motivated team driven by the quality and heritage of the company and brand you represent.

Candidate profile

  • Min 3+ years of technical sales experience in the machine/cutting tool and/or Utilities or Railroad industry
  • Proven track record of successful outside sales performance
  • Self-motivated and driven to visit multiple customers on daily basis
  • An inquisitive mind, always on the lookout for the next lead and comfortable with connecting at all levels of an organization
  • Pursue leads and manage all aspects of the sales process, follow up, negotiating and closing for both new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate openly and pro-actively with the management team who will support and guide your business development efforts and/or provide additional technical support
  • Utilize CMR and reporting tools to track activity and generate new business opportunity with your client portfolio
  • Team spirit and customer centered personality.
  • Travel as needed within local territory with regular overnight travel as required.
  • Full training and on-boarding offered by the management team
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree or Technical equivalent a plus but not required.
