Job description

Job Purpose:

  • Is operationally and financially responsible for all Christeyns equipment projects and maintenance (Christeyns Engineering USA)

Responsibilities, within Region, in consultation with supervisor and according to company's guidelines:

  • Manage operationally and financially the intake (including on site plant surveys), cost calculations and drawings, part lists, ordering, shipments, assembly, install (including 3rd parties), start-up (including final quality control), follow-up and maintenance (including 3rd parties) of all engineering projects and equipment according to the Christeyns Engineering and U.S. (safety) standards
  • Manage costs of projects and maintenance respecting rigorously the approved budgets
  • Develop and roll out the required documentation (e.g. manuals)
  • Organize and execute training on the safe use and maintenance of equipment installations
  • Deliver required reporting to supervisor, colleagues and customers
  • Set up and manage an equipment warehouse, workshop, inventories, car kits and spare part kits
  • Develop and manage a Christeyns Engineering USA team and department
  • Establish (in coordination with supervisor) solutions for installation challenges
  • Roll out standardized Christeyns USA systems/equipment/hard- and software
  • Implement and enforce Christeyns USA safety guidelines respecting all local, State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Create and implement the modification of existing dosing systems as well as test and implement new chemical dispensing & water and energy equipment based on local needs and in conjunction with the supervisor the corporate engineering department
  • Procurement (including price negotiations) of 3rd party equipment, parts and services

General

  • Implement and roll out Christeyns USA programs (dispensing & water and energy equipment, concepts and/or systems)
  • Merchandise services to customers according to Christeyns' standards (respecting the contractual Technical Full-Service Warranty and Service Level Agreements) and follow up the financial terms according to individual customer contracts
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through the delivered performance
  • Find unique and repeatable ways of solving problems
  • Monitor and report market (equipment) needs and moves (customers and competitors)
  • Manage own time and do active resources planning
  • Ensure high degree of proficiency
  • Follow corporate identity guidelines and processes
  • Continuously contribute to improve the Christeyns USA engineering processes
  • Ensure own development based on regular feedback or performance reviews (including one yearly official moment) with coaching by supervisor
  • Travel within the defined region on a regular basis
  • Overnight and weekend service is required on a project or emergency basis

Candidate profile

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Min 10 years of job related experience with proven results
  • Strong work ethic
  • Product, technology and/or industry knowledge
  • Extensive technical understanding
  • Strong management skills: detailed planning (projects, preventive & corrective maintenance, resources, costs), leadership
  • Organizer, analytic, problem solver, result driven, creative, critical thinking, detail oriented, common sense, flexible,
  • A real team player who can work closely with his/her supervisor and who can build/coach/motivate/convince his/her (implementation) team
