On behalf of our client, Kluber Lubrication, YER is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Quebec & Maritime Provinces territory.

Job description

In this position, as a valued member of the sales team, you will be given the opportunity to initiate and manage outstanding technical sales activities within the Quebec and Maritime Provinces sales territory. This is a chance to further develop your sales management skills and showcase your technical knowledge in the application of engineering and manufacturing. Your familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and mining, cement, wood, pulp and paper further augment your competencies. You will receive a great deal of freedom to manage and coordinate the development of the assigned sales territory and work closely with the Regional Sales Manager for Canada.

With your sound technical background, strong business acumen and above all a strong desire to succeed, you navigate well in high-level technical capital equipment sales settings and understand the particular needs and translate them into actionable business opportunities together with your team.

My client, Kluber Lubrication was founded in 1929 with global headquarters in Munich Germany and since 1966 full subsidiary of Freudenberg Group. The North American subsidiary of Kluber based in Londonderry, NH. They offer expert tribological solutions by supplying tailor-made specialty lubricants directly to customers in almost all branches of industry and regional markets. Typical customers include machinery operators and producers of components, modules, machines and systems as well as companies using this equipment for their own production or processing activities.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in technical sales to industrial manufacturing and mining industry.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes for wood, pulp, paper, cement and mining and maritime equipment.
  • Established contacts to relevant direct customers.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement strategic sales action plans.
  • Strong technical application skills for chains, bearings, gearboxes, etc. with the ability to identify a problem and make recommendations.
  • Good understanding of the various types of machinery as it applies to the relevant industries.
  • Strong sales experience and excellent face-to-face communication skills.
  • Self-starting and self-motivated.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing industries in the area of aerospace, automotive, rail, pulp, wood and paper, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Office suite) and CRM knowledge (Lotus notes).
  • Strong reporting and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating and time-management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel a large geographical area
  • Strong track record in driving and delivering results.
  • Proactive behavior, 'hands on approach, taking initiative.
  • Comfortable in an international environment.
  • Familiar with the Quebecois business culture and fluent in French.
  • Personable with strong presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic - team player.
