Job description

As Director Supply Chain USA you manage a team of 15 and are responsible for managing the Distribution and Production activities consisting of 3 teams; Production, Warehouse and Back office/Operations. The goal of this role is to elevate the US organization to a higher level and a main part of this is to professionalize the operational processes such as; planning and inventory control, distribution and production. This role serves as a bridge between the client and the internal organization in which the Director Supply Chain USA is the main connector. You contribute with the vision and mission of Coulisse's activities and will have a pro-active role in this. The Director Supply Chain USA is a generalist and a self-starter with hands on experience in Supply Chain, Purchase, Production Quality as well as Back Office/Operations

This role requires close coordination of activities with the Global Supply Chain Director based in the Netherlands and is part of the US Management Team consisting of the Sales Director and General Manager USA based in Miami.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the management of Production and Distribution.
  • Direct and steer the organization and responsible for further professionalization of operational processes.
  • Strive for alignment with the different departments; Supply Chain, Project Management and Sales Support; and act as the connecting factor in streamlining processes and information.
  • Responsible for IT, Health & Safety and Finance.
  • Coach, develop, motivate, manage, steer and assess employees.
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all activities concerning your team and resources for an optimal execution of the operation.
  • Collaborate with service providers and vendors.
  • Primary point of contact for internal clients, vendors, Coulisse's office in Asia and relevant shipping agents.
  • Maintain contracts and research the quality of execution of contracts with third parties, and implement necessary adjustments.

Candidate profile

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with logistical processes, production and distribution.
  • 5 years of working experience in a similar environment in a managing role.
  • Experience with data driven processes.
  • Knowledge of NAVISION/ERP systems preferred.

Personal skills:
The ideal candidate has outstanding leadership skills including coaching and training capabilities. Strong communication and negotiating skills are a must to be successful in this role.
