In this sales position you will be managing the North American area for a global market leader in the food equipment for the baking industry.

Job description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be given the opportunity to further strengthen SASA DEMARLE's revenue and market share in the US, Canada and Mexico for its industrial baking equipment division. You will be able to utilize your extensive experience in direct sales of food equipment to open new accounts and nurture key existing ones.

You will receive significant freedom to develop this market segment, using the valuable market knowledge in the baking industry you have acquired throughout your career. As an experienced and disciplined self-starter, you will get to develop the North American market from your home office, travelling to meet prospective and current clients, while supported from SASA DEMARLE HQ in France.

Your passion to develop nationwide sales efforts to expand incremental revenue and achieve profitable volume growth has helped you establish a proven track record of securing projects by closing deal. Your added value lies in quickly understanding the basics of your clients' process and the ability to help engineer solutions for their challenges. SASA DEMARLE Group is the world leader in the design and manufacturing of baking trays for professional, industrial bakers and pastry chefs. For more than 40 years, the group has developed and innovated to provide best in class non-stick coatings for its products; baking trays, stamped pans, tins sets, trolleys, flexible molds and baking mats.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and sales.
  • 5-10 years of experience with a proven track record of sales of food processing equipment in North America, with 6-12-month sales cycle.
  • Past or existing relationship with buyers at industrial bakers a plus.
  • Eager, energetic, and hands-on sales person.
  • Attraction for technical aspects & tailor-made equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Experienced working from a home office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills able to create rapport from operators to C-levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, knowledge of Salesforce CRM a plus.
  • Fluent in French (oral and written), Spanish a plus.
